Our Mission: Better ski boot fitting by focusing on the individual. Park City Ski Boot and Pedorthic is owned and operated by Brent Amsbury, a 37 year veteran of the ski industry. Brent is a board licensed Pedorthist who has provided services for U.S., Slovak and Czech ski teams in freestyle, speed skiing and alpine racing.
We offer the following Services
· Top-quality ski, running, cycling and golf orthotics · Stance alignment and boot sole planing · Guided ski boot selection and consultation · Dynamic ski boot testing in cooperation with Alan · Digital foot pressure mapping and gait analysis for all sports with Molibso/Dyneos
Professional fitting is based on analysis of the foot. The new BD 3D Vandra provides a three-dimensional representation of both feet, ensuring an accurate measurement of length, width, volume, and other special measurements around the foot with results are visualized on a screen for further reference. In just a few seconds without added foot contact, Park City Ski Boot can recommend and outline the best possible fit solution for your feet.
ACCOLADES
Highly skilled fitting. Very nice people. Would recommend to all!
Couldn’t be happier with my new boots! The staff was very knowledgeable and took me through the boot fitting process, explaining how they first pick the right boot then adjust where needed for the perfect fit. They were reluctant at first to even sell me a pair of boots since I was not going to be in town over the next few days in case I needed any adjustments. I trusted in their abilities and ended up with an awesome pair of boots that over the next 4 skiing days got even better. I would highly recommend the shop. Sorry for my stinky end of day skiing feet 🙂
ORTHOTICS
Orthotics (Greek: Ορθός, ortho, “to straighten” or “align”) is a specialty within the medical field concerned with the design, manufacture and application of orthoses. Anorthosis (plural: orthoses) is “an externally applied device used to modify the structural and functional characteristics of the neuromuscular and skeletal system”.
Foot orthoses comprise a custom made insert or footbed fitted into a shoe. Commonly referred to as “orthotics” these orthoses provide support for the foot by redistributing ground reaction forces as well as realigning foot joints while standing, walking or running. A great body of information exists within the orthotic literature describing the sciences that might be used to aid people with foot problems as well as the impact “orthotics” can have on foot, knee, hip, and spine deformities.
They are used by everyone from athletes to the elderly to accommodate biomechanical deformities and a variety of soft tissue inflammatory conditions such as plantar fasciitis. They may also be used in conjunction with properly fitted orthopaedic footwear in the prevention of foot ulcers in the at-risk diabetic foot.
